GIE elects next GIE President

June 24, 2010

At its General Assembly held in Vienna on the 24 June, Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) elected Jean-Claude Depail, in charge of the infrastructure business line at GDF SUEZ, its next President.

GIE is the European association of gas infrastructure operators in the area of transmission, storage and LNG. Currently, it represents 66 member companies from across Europe. GIE one of the main stakeholders in the European gas market and a regular interlocutor towards the European institutions, such as the European Commission or the European Parliament, as well as towards the European bodies of regulators (ERGEG, CEER) and other stakeholders.
